February 0.2 installment.
除夕
(Clockwise)
1. Last pair of yellow ear plugs I managed to snag at Guardian. Decided that I'm done being secretly angry at people whispering at the library.
2. Outfit for 除夕 taken at grandma's room. A constant reminder that I need to get a full-length mirror from Ikea as soon as I figure out how to mount it to the wall without being constantly afraid that it will fall.
3. Giant pineapple tarts at grandma's place.
4. A clearer shot of the giant pineapple tarts. Sent this photo to M and he said "Wa they are huge." Yup.
5. Honey cornflakes with chocolate chips snack. Super easy to make, super sinful to eat, and super pain in the ass to wash up after making. Butter and honey is not something I'd wish upon anyone's dishes.
My outfit would probably look more festive without the dark grey cardigan but it was rainy and cold and I was freezing so festivity can take a backseat. Also, my ankles look extremely emaciated here in comparison to my huge feet.
Funny story about 初一. We were supposed to reach my grandma's place around 12pm but due to someone's (mum) idea of waiting out the thunderstorm, the entire household eventually succumbed to the chilly weather and took a collective nap. I was the first to wake up. At 4pm.
I told bff about this and she replied "Hahahaha you guys really OTOT". Own time own target. Lol.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I don't do much visiting during the season, 初一 pretty much marks the end of CNY for me. Also, today marks the official 14 days countdown for prelims. Years ago, if anyone were to come up to me and suggest "inspirational quotes" as part of stress-coping, my reaction would have been exactly this.

Followed by this.

But.................they do kinda work?
"Whenever we're afraid, it's because we don't know enough. If we understood enough, we would never be afraid." - Earl Nightingale
"It is foolish to fear what we cannot avoid." - Publius Syrus
And my personal favourite for repeating just before bed time,
"A restless mind makes a ruffled pillow." - Charlotte Brontë
Eye-rolling worthy quotes that help with stress coping. In an alternate dimension, my 16 year old self would have her eyeballs strained so far back, they might just stay that way permanently. Ha ha ha.
