ROSES

I will be leaving for Korea in 4 days! Pretty stoked about it because our itinerary includes places that I've never been to.

We will be visiting Busan, along with Udo Island in Jeju, and Everland in Seoul. Lucky for us, Everland has a rose festival going on right now. I have never been a huge fan of roses, mostly because of their exorbitant prices, but there is just a certain...je nais se quoi about them that you can't really deny. I feel really pretentious right now for dropping a french phrase when describing roses, but yes. It is neither entirely romantic, nor entirely melancholic. But maybe that's just me.

On the other hand, the canola flowering season in Udo Island is over. So a photo I've gotten off the internet would have to suffice for now. I'm still hoping that we might be able to spot a few stray ones hanging on whilst biking around the island though, fingers crossed!

Lastly, I find that dark stain on my walls a little disconcerting. And this was hair curling success number two! So I thought it deserves a little...remembrance, seeing how I have been struggling to replicate it. Ha ha, a couple of more tries would probably serve me well.

A little list of last minute things I have to get done before I fly off.

1) Convert currency and get me some won.
2) Get me somewon, literally. ...err, anyone? I apologise for the weak attempt at word play.
3) Buy A Game of Thrones to read, and to kick start my A Song of Ice and Fire collection. I have been frantically catching up with Game of Thrones, and completing the latest episode has just left me with this void that comes with really good shows.

This reminds me of the night when I finally met up with my favourite boys.

Me: Please tell me there is life after completing Season 3 of Game of Thrones.
Pres: There won't be. Winter is coming.

We just sat there in front of Belly for a good 15 minutes discussing Game of Thrones (it was mostly Pressy correcting my pronunciation of Daenerys Targaryen), and how awesome it would be if we could speak the Dothraki language fluently. It easily became the nerdiest conversation that I have ever had.

Which brings me to the most hilarious conversation that took place the same night. We talk about ridiculous stuff all the time, but that just topped everything that we've ever covered.

Our conversation summed up in a gif. Lol, I still laugh when I am reminded of Belly's outrageous actions.

The epic night ended with Belly driving us home at 5 in the morning, me passing out almost instantaneously in the front seat and only waking up when he tapped me after he parked the car. My first question was, "Where is Preston?". I was very tired.

Okay, I have strayed too far away from my list to get back on track so I shall end the post here.

I am quite looking forward to overcoming my apprehension for public nudity and having a (hopefully, nice) ajumma scrub dead skin cells off of me.

Can't wait!
xx
