STAT

So far, the days after finals have been filled with jaw discomfort and a less than stimulating mind.

The following is a question I asked out of the blue during a very silent bus ride home.

Me: You know how Hotmail changed their interface to Outlook?
Hui: Ya. Why?
Me: Do you think the new email addresses will end with @outlook.com instead?
Hui: (laughter, because it was such a random and silly question)

This reminds me of the year before, when I frantically sent out a chain of texts saying "Holy crap I just saw 周迅 at Tampines One!"

It was until someone replied me the following did I realise I was very much mistaken.

"Are you sure you saw 周迅? The actress in 画皮??"

Turns out, the person I saw was 周颖, a local actress. You should also note that one of the skills I have is butchering the pronunciation of Chinese names. For the longest period of time, I was adamant about pronouncing 庞蕾馨's name as lu2 rui4 sheng1. Lol, it doesn't even sound remotely close to the actual pronunciation la.

So, back to a less than stimulating mind.

The above are a few films to indulge in if you are interested in losing faith in humanity and learning something at the same time.

In a clockwise manner, The Invisible War, Mama (nothing to learn here, just a pretty good horror film), Iraq's Secret War Files, How to Survive a Plague, The Emperor's Tram Girls, and The Burqa Battle.

Quoting The Fight Song by Marilyn Manson,

"The death of one is a tragedy, the death of a million is just a statistic."

xx
