HAIKU #2

Lecture in progress,
Drowning in irrelevance,
Please get back on track.

Side note: I was debating on "Oh my fucking god" as an alternative last sentence.

My lecturer just sent a whatsapp message at 7am in the morning that he would go through 3 slightly more advanced chapters in one lesson because "I wanted to leave the theory for last because it'll be fresher in your minds.". Which obviously is a very valid reasoning for justifying his extremely backlogged lectures because he goes off track all. the. damn. time. Right now I wish I was witty enough to come up with an insult-joke that ends with "...because he can't stay on a fucking point.". Hmm...nope I've got nothing. It's currently an hour into the lecture and he is at slide number 4. I highly doubt the fruition of his 7am claim. /Sigh.

If you are wondering why I am typing this post in class, it's because he has once again gone off track. He is explaining the Iraq-Iran-US war in detail for the umpteenth time. One can only wonder what his compulsion to reiterate a single war example (completed with numerical statistics + chronological order of precise dates) is fueled by. Perhaps to make the lecture seem more productive than it actually is? Exactly how many times can you repeat the same details of a single war example? If I could get a dollar for everytime he mentions the pack of US military poker cards with Saddam and his officers' faces and the threat of anarchy that comes with a thorough disarmament of a country's military and political forces...my cab fare to Toa Payoh this morning would be covered. Plus I would have enough leftover change to treat myself to a hearty Mcdonalds breakfast.

Time check: He is 1.5 hours into the lecture. Still on Iraq-Iran war example. Another 1.5 hours lecture time left.

/Deep sigh.

Also, he likes referring to George W. Bush as a "shrub" because his dad is a "bush". I can't even.

The person sitting in front of me is typing relatively loudly, which is progressively getting on my nerves. Or maybe I was just annoyed to start with.

Okay this phone-typed rant is long enough for now. Another /deep sigh.
