drift·wood Noun /ˈdriftˌwo͝od/
Pieces of wood that are floating on the sea or have been washed ashore
When failing to achieve consensus, when things around you are ephemeral, when fleeting conversations leave you dazed and confused, when variation takes place, when everything is intangible, when...you feel alone.
You will feel like a driftwood.
Drifting in the big vast ocean, drifting to the the sounds of waves which come, and go. Drifting towards or away from an unknown destination, vulnerable and susceptible. Used but discarded. What was once palpable, turns ethereal.
In times of need in comfort and solace, in times of confusion and distress.
Not asking who you would turn to, but who will be there for you.
Would you?
